Give homeowners secure, self-serve access to their statements, reports, calendar, and more!
Owners want visibility into the money moving through their properties without pulling reports by hand every month. Clearing's owner portal gives each homeowner a secure login where they can view and download their own statements, track reservations, and stay current on their property's performance, without going through you.
Once an owner accepts your invite, they get read only access scoped to their own properties. You control what they can see, including reports and calendar updates, so keeping things transparent stays easy on both sides.
Inviting property homeowners to Clearing
Inviting owners takes just a few clicks. Here's how:
Step 1: Log in or sign up
Log in to your Clearing account with your email and password. If you don't have an account yet, click Get started and complete the signup form.
Step 2: Go to Assets & Owners
Click Assets & Owners in the left menu, then open the Owners tab.
Step 3: Click "Invite Owners"
From the Owners tab, click Invite Owners to get started.
Step 4: Choose how to invite each owner
Not Invited tab
The Not Invited tab lists every owner who doesn't have portal access yet. From here you can:
Send an individual invite: the owner gets an email with a link to create their own account and password.
Bulk send invites: invite every owner on the list at once.
Create account: set up the portal account yourself and assign a temporary password. The owner is emailed the password, and you're cc'd. They can reset it after logging in.
Tip: Onboarding a large portfolio? Use Bulk Send Invites to invite every owner at once instead of sending invitations one by one.
Invited (No Account Created) tab
This tab shows invites that have been sent but not yet accepted. From here you can:
Resend the invite: send the email again if it was missed or the link expired.
Copy the link: grab the invite link to send yourself, by text or email.
Delete the invite: remove the pending invite and return the owner to Not Invited, where you can re-invite them or create their account instead.
Invited (Account Created) tab
This tab shows every owner with an active portal account, including whether they've added bank account information. You can fully remove an owner's portal account here if needed.
Note: Removing an owner's portal access does not delete them from Clearing. You can re-invite them anytime from the Not Invited tab.
Step 5: You're set!
Once an owner accepts the invite, they'll see all the financial statements published for their properties!
