Clearing's Mobile App

Learn what property managers, owners, and vendors can each do in the Clearing mobile app, and download it for iOS or Android.

Written by Ashley Hagel

Clearing's mobile app gives property managers, owners, and vendors access to their Clearing data from their phone. What you see in the app depends on your role.

For Property Managers

From the app menu, property managers have access to Receipts and Statements.

Receipts

Tap "Add a receipt" to add a new one, either by uploading a file or taking a photo directly with your phone's camera. When adding or editing a receipt, you can:

  • Enter the amount, merchant, and date.

  • Assign it to an asset and owner.

  • Split the receipt into multiple line items, useful when a single receipt covers expenses for more than one asset or owner. Each line item gets its own category, asset, and amount, and the app tracks how much of the total has been categorized versus how much is remaining.

Statements

View a list of every published owner statement, each with its name, date range, and net amount, with a PDF available for each one.

For Owners

From the app menu, an owner can see Statements, Bookings, Notes, Calendar, and Emails. Statements is always on by default; the others depend on which settings you've enabled for that owner.

Statements

A list of the owner's statements, each with its date range and net amount, with a PDF available for each one.

Bookings

Reservation-level detail for a selected month and year, including the net total owner payout after management fees and before expenses, broken down by asset and individual reservation.

Notes, Calendar, and Emails

When enabled, owners can also see notes left for them, a calendar view of their bookings, and a history of email communication.

For Vendors

Vendors have the same invoicing options in the app as they do in the web portal: upload an existing invoice, or create a new one directly in the app. An invoice can be saved as a draft and finished later. Vendors can also view their full payment history from the app.

For the full walkthrough of these features, see How to Use the Vendor Portal in Clearing.
