After linking all relevant external bank accounts into Clearing, view any transaction you’d like directly from your Clearing transactions dashboard. Simply login to your Clearing account and manage your business transactions with ease.

Integrating External Bank Accounts

Clearing has made linking external bank accounts, and centralizing transaction management, a simple and intuitive process that can be completed within seconds. To link your external bank account, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Signup or Login

To link external bank accounts, first, you must log in to your Clearing account. Enter your email and password, and click the “Log In” button. If you don’t have an account yet, click the “Get Started” button on Clearing's landing page, and start the process for subscribing to Clearing.

Step 2: Choose to Link External Bank Accounts

Once you’ve gained access to your Clearing account, you’ll need to navigate to the “Accounts” tab from the side menu, and click “ Bank Accounts” from within the dashboard that appears.

Step 3: Linking an External Bank Account

After clicking the “Bank Accounts” option, you will be redirected to your external accounts panel. Here locate and click the “Link external account” option.

When you click on that option, a pop-up panel on the right will appear. Here you will be notified that Clearing uses Plaid to link the software to any bank account in the United States (US). Plaid is a very secure third party tool, that helps Clearing link existing bank accounts to the transaction feed. To proceed, simply click on the “Link account/card” option.

Now, you will be redirected to a page where you’ll have to verify that you want to connect Clearing and Plaid. To proceed simply click “Continue.”

Step 4: Complete the Connection to your External Bank Account

Scroll through the list of external banks and choose the one you have an account with, or you can use the search bar if desired.

After choosing the external bank account, you will be asked to review the type of financial information that will be shared. To proceed, click “Allow.”

Last, you will need to enter your login credentials for the bank account. After that, click “Submit”.

Step 5: Manage Your Bookkeeping Operations With Ease

That’s all you need to do to integrate external bank accounts with Clearing. Once you enter the login details and choose the account, you will be redirected to your Clearing "Accounts" dashboard. Here you’ll be able to see the account you’ve linked. You can view the account details and the available balance.

You can also click on the “Transactions” tab in the left-hand side panel and view all the transactions that have been made to/from that account.
